PCC chief, CLP leader accountable for defections

Rajya Sabha member and senior Congress leader V.Hanumantha Rao commented that PCC and CLP leaders have to take responsibility for the defection of some peoples’ representatives and other leaders from the Congress Party.

Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad on Saturday, he said, “The coordination committee of the party has failed in anticipating the defections. There is a need to take steps for strengthening the party in the state.”

He advised the party MPs and former MPs to meet at regular intervals to discuss the steps to be taken to strengthen the party in the state.
