Pawan Kalyan To Give Hope To AgriGold Victims At Vijaywada Meet Today
Vijayawada: Power Star, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Thursday demanded a speedy and sincere implementation of High Court's directives in AgriGold case. Pawan arrived in town to interact with AgriGold victims and give them all assurance in getting their deposits back. He asked the depositors not to loose heart and take drastic decisions.
Speaking to media on his arrival, Pawan questioned the government why the delay is taking place despite High Court directives from time to time. He wondered why the government is still not able to identify nearly 14,000 acres of properties spread across the country. "If the properties are identified and their value is ascertained, the problem is almost solved," he said citing the examples of Sahara India and Satyam Computers in which the court saved the depositors and shareholders.
The transperancy is lacking in the whole process, he said adding that there could be some behind-the-scene forces hampering the government's actions.
The meet with the agents and depositors will be held at Tummalapally Kalakshetram here. With the news of Pawan Kalyan spreading like a wildfire, thousand of victims from far away places are also reaching Vijayawada with lots of hopes on him.
The scam is worth Rs20,000 crore involving over 30 lakh investors and agents. As the case is in the High Court, there may not be a clear statement by Pawan but the meet was mainly intended to give a hope to the depositors of whom over 100 people committed so far after getting cheated by the company.
