Paritala Ravi Did Not Tonsure My Head As Punishment: Pawan Kalyan

Power Star Pawan Kalyan on Friday blamed the Telugu Desam Party for spreading canards that factionist leader Paritala Ravi had got his head shaved off as a punishment.

Talking to Jana Sena activists at Vijayawada, he said no one had ever got him tonsured. This is utter falsehood, he added. "It is the Telugu Desam Party, which spread this misinformation. I got tonsured as I was disgusted with some films. Until the rumours, I did not even know who Paritala Ravi," Pawan Kalyan said.

Interestingly, Pawan Kalyan broached the subject, which is in the public domain for the last several years, but neither Paritala nor Pawan ever spoke about it, on his own. This has heightened curiosity as to why Pawan chose to talk about it now.

He said despite all this innuendo, he chose to support the Telugu Desam just because he wanted unity among various castes. He also slammed the murder of Vangaveeti Ranga. He said Vijayawada is yet to rise above the caste considerations. He said it was time that people shun caste and creed.
