Panabaka Lakshmi does a foot in mouth on Telangana

Contending with the mood of the Seemandhra stir against the State’s bifurcation, Union Minister of State for Petroleum Panabaka Lakshmi on Saturday made it clear that she is for the division. Speaking to press persons on Saturday, during her visit to Chennai, she emphasized that the bifurcation is inevitable.

“I am not for Samaikyandhra, I am clearly for the bifurcation. Seemandhra may appeal for special package,” she said.
With her comments, probably unpalatable to the agitating public of the region, she reasserted her loyalty to the party.
While in a different development, another Seemandhra union Minister Pallamraju reportedly gone back on his decision to resign. AICC president Sonia Gandhi known to be advised him to join the group of ministers over Telangana and he obliged her.

"On Friday, I had decided to resign. So I went to meet her and requested her that I would like to resign from the post of minister but she gave me the same advice that was given by the Prime Minister that I should not act in haste and that I should try and find a resolution to the numerous issues by working with the GoM and with other leaders from all over Andhra Pradesh", Pallamraju said.
