Palair bypoll to be held on May 16

The bye-election for Palair assembly constituency in Khammam district of Telangana state would be held on May 16. The bye-poll was necessitate due to the demise of former minister and Congress MLA Ramreddy Venkat Reddy.

Accordingly, a notification would be issued on April 22 and the nominations would be accepted till April 29. On April 30, the nominations would be scrutinised and May 2 is the last date for the withdrawal of nominations.
The counting of votes would be taken up on May 18.
