Over Hundred Job Seekers Duped By ‘Over Technologies’, 2 Fraudsters Arrested

Hyderabad:  City police arrested two fraudsters while one more is absconding for duping over hundred job seekers by collecting money from them in lakhs after promising them jobs in their fake IT company through consultancies.

According to Madhapur SI Naresh Kumar, 27-year-old Venkata Sukesh, a jobless B.Tech graduate from Nellore district, established a fake IT company named ‘Over Technologies’ at Cyber Towers in Madhapur in order to make easy money with the help of Kadavergu Murali Mohan, who belongs to Karimnagar district, as Managing Director. Venkata Sukesh, acting as an IT consultant, collected money in lakhs from 70 job seekers charging each one Rs.1.20 lakh by promising them jobs in his company ‘Over Technologies’.

The duo even recruited some of unemployed by conducting nominal interviews for the company. However, the employees were not paid on time and when they confronted about their salaries, the fraudsters ran away leaving the office on May 21. Then the victims approached the police who arrested Venkata Sukesh and his accomplice is still at large.

In another similar incident under Kukatpally police station limits, one Sole Lawrence Jayanandraj, (33), a resident of Yousufguda, set up job consultant office ‘Lawrence Corp’ at Vivekanadanagar, opposite Andhra Bank in Kukatpally one month back. He collected money from 50 persons who approached him for job charging Rs.5,000 for each. Later, Jayanandraj gave them the cold shoulder when the job seekers asked him about jobs. Then the victims lodged complaint with the police after realising that they were cheated. Police took him into their custody.
