Cab company Ola charged a Mumbai resident Rs. 149 crore for a 300-metre ride - Sakshi Post

Mumbai: A man really was fooled on April 1st by the cab service provider Ola. As it was all fool's day social media was buzzing with pranks and jokes but a man shared a post that he was literally fooled by Ola for charging Rs149 crore for 300mtr which he never traveled but cancelled after booking.

Sushil Narsian booked a cab from his residence in Mulund West to Vakola Market, which is just 300 mtr away. As the cab driver's phone stopped working, he was unable to locate Sunil's house. Narsian, meanwhile, kept walking down the street to reach the driver’s location. By the time he reached the pick-up point, the driver cancelled the ride.

Narsian tried to book another cab but when he saw on the app he was shocked to see the amount that he can't figure out. It showed a pending balance of Rs1,49,10,51,648. The cab service company also deducted Rs127 from his wallet. All for a ride that did not take place.

Company sources said that over billing occurred due to a technical problem. The cab company also refunded his money which was deducted from his wallet.
