Tenders received lower than the previous year contract value would have to be cancelled as per the Cantonment Act
SCB CEO Sujatha Gupta at a board meeting said that as the bids received were lower than the current contract value, earlier tenders were cancelled on August 20. Incidentally, the highest bidder this time - SD Adobes - offered lower amounts in the earlier bidding.
“Tenders received lower than the previous year contract value would have to be cancelled as per the Cantonment Act,” she said.
The new contractor’s plea was accepted by cantonment board president Brig A S Negi and extended the present contractor’s term of collection of toll tax and octroi up to October 7 from September 8.
