Now, 3 Tollywood Heroines Get Notices In Drug Racket Case 

Hyderabad: In a fresh development in the sensational drug racket in Tollywood, the sleuths of Special Investigative Team (SIT) on Thursday issued notices to three prominent heroines in the film industry. However, the names of the heroines were kept confidential by the police.

All the three were summoned by the SIT team to appear before it on July 19. Others who were also issued notices by the SIT were — a Tollywood singer's husband, who had played several character roles, a budding hero and a director-turned-hero.

The drug racket case has become a sensation in the Tollywood Film Industry (TFI) ever since a gang was nabbed recently by the Telangana police. Akhun Sabharwal, Director for Prohibition and Excise in Telangana, had said that several names of the industry bigwigs were among customers of the gang. Meanwhile, the police were also investigating whether the people from the Tollywood were customers or they actually supplying the drugs.
