No loss to State on Babli verdict: CM Kiran

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy said on Friday that the Supreme Court verdict on Babli project would not hamper the interests of the State as worried.

"The Court had ordered to use water allocated for Maharashtra, I do not find any objections on the verdict," said the Chief Minister. 

Stating that the high power committee on Polavaram tenders issue did not submit its report yet, Kiran Kumar Reddy advised the leaders not to create unnecessary disputes on the issue. He clarified that the Centre had revoked its earlier order to stop project works for want of collecting people's opinion. 

Stating that the situation was not in favour of Chandrababu Naidu to trust him, Kiran said waiver of crop loans was not possible as demanded by him, further added that his Govt would welcome his decision if he moved towards no-confidence motion. 

Hailing the Railway budget, Kiran Kumar also appreciated the Chidambaram's budget. To a question, the CM said the Govt was not way connected with hike in power tariff and there were many reasons for the increase. Sending a strong message to his bête noirs in his Cabinet, Kiran Kumar Reddy said he would not hesitate to take action against those who were damaging to the party and the Govt.
