Big blow to Andhra Jyothy in defamation case - Sakshi Post


The court on Friday ordered the management of Andhra Jyothy, vernacular newspaper to pay Rs 50 lakh as compensation in a defamation case.

Congress MLC Chengalrayudu filed defamation case against the newspaper management for news stories concocted with false information in 2009. The YSR Kadapa district First Additional Judge court pronounced to pay Rs 50 lakhs.
