No Agitation for Ram Temple Till UP Polls: Pravin Togadia
Patna: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) its leader Pravin Togadia said on Tuesday that VHP won’t launch any agitation to build a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya till Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh get over next year.
Togadia, however, said the VHP was committed to constructing a mammoth Ram temple at the site where the 16th century Babri mosque was razed in December 1992.
“A grand Ram temple in Ayodhya will be constructed. It is a fact,” he said.
VHP activists, who brought down the Babri mosque, built a makeshift Ram temple which is open to pilgrims.
The VHP has always said it plans to erect a grand Ram temple there. Togadia also lauded the Bihar government’s decision to impose prohibition in the state.
