After Vijay, this actor forays into Tamil politics
A prominent Tamil actor Vishal has announced his entry into politics in Tamil Nadu. For years, rumors have circulated about his potential political ambitions. However, he confirmed these speculations during a press conference in Chennai on Sunday.
Vishal unveiled his plans to form a new political party and contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly elections. He expressed concern over the lack of proper facilities and the severe hardships faced by the people of the state. He asserted that his primary objective is to serve the masses and provide essential amenities.
When asked about the possibility of an alliance with existing political parties, Vishal said let him first prove himself to the people before considering any electoral partnerships. "Only after that will I contemplate an alliance," he asserted.
Vishal's foray into politics comes shortly after Tamil superstar Vijay launched his own political party called "Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam" a couple of months ago.
Vishal has been doing several philanthropic works through his mother's foundation, 'Devi Foundation.' These initiatives have supported underprivileged students and assisted affected farmers in the state, demonstrating his commitment to societal welfare.
