Two Children Crushed to Death in Lorry-Auto Collision in Medchal, Four Other Critical

Medchal : In a horrific road accident, two students were killed and  five others injured when the auto they were travelling in was hit by a lorry near Cherlapally prison here on Thursday. The injured students and the auto driver have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The condition of the four injured was stated to be critical.

According to reports, there were 10 children in the auto at the time of the accident. Kushaiguda police rushed to the spot as soon as they received information about the accident. The police have taken the lorry driver into custody. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.

Jadcherla Mishap

In a similar road accident three persons were killed when the tractor they were travelling on was rammed into by a speeding lorry on Thursday. The MNREGA labourers were going to their work site when the accident took place near Malleboinapalli in Jadcherla mandal. The deceased have been identified as Yadaiah and Lalitha, both residents of Aluru village, and tractor driver Vishnu. Both Yadaiah and Lalitha died on the spot while Vishnu succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
