Telangana: No Power Supply For One Year In This Colony Of Mulugu District
It's been one year, a colony in the BILT (Ballarpur Industries Limited factory) of Kamalapur Mandal of Mulugu district is not having a power supply. On September 22, 2020, NPDCL officials have stopped the supply of power to the BILT factor colony as they didn't pay the bills. From then onwards the families of the BILT factory employees are in the darkness. The people living in the colony told the officials that they would pay the current bill if NPDCL officials restore the power supply but the officials are paying deaf ears to their request. Some of the people who have shifted to other localities are staying in rented houses while some of the people in the colony are using charing lights. The families of the BILT factory are facing a lot of problems and some of the employees who used to work in the factory are now searching for new jobs. BILT Factory - Ballarpur Industries Limited - has been closed for the past seven years.
The women in the colony are waiting for the Telangana government to take necessary action on this. The BILT unit's revival is expected to benefit hundreds of families in the district. When it was functional, BILT provided direct employment to 750 persons and indirect employment to many others.
