Telangana Govt Reduces Minimum Service Period For Promotions From 3 Years To 2 Years
Good news for all the government employees. The Telangana government on Monday issued a GO reducing the minimum service period for the promotions. Now the employees who have completed two years of service are eligible for promotions. Earlier, it was three years. In the GO it was mentioned that this rule will be applicable for those who have joined in the state, subordinate services recently. This GO came into force on Monday and will remain in force till further orders are issued. The government has amended the Telangana State and Subordinate Service Rules-1996.
Earlier, the minimum service time for the government employee to get a promotion is three years. But after the formation of Telangana, CM K Chandrasekhar Rao promised that the minimum service period will be decreased to two years from three years for promotions. Now, he gave green signal.
With KCR's directions, the government has issued GO to enforce the minimum service two-year rule for promotions until further orders are issued by the government. TGO, TNGO president, general secretaries, Mamata, Rajender, Satyanarayana, and Pratap thanked Chief Minister KCR for issuing the promotion orders. Telangana Employees Union Chairman Padma Chary, PRTUTS, Group-1 Officers Union President, General Secretaries Sripal Reddy, Kamalakar Rao, Chandrasekhar Gowd, and Hanmanthu Nayak also thanked Chief Minister KCR.
