Medical Colleges in Telangana To Reopen From Tomorrow
Hyderabad: Amidst the Covid19 concerns, the medical colleges were closed. For a long time now, all the schools, colleges, and universities have been shut and the classes held online. But now finally things are changing a bit and slowly, the states are allowing educational institutes to start functioning. One by one the schools and universities are opening and allowing the functioning of it at just 50 percent capacity.
Recently the Telangana state government gave their nod to Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) to reopen all their affiliated medical colleges in the state, starting from July 29 (Thursday). This cannot happen at one go but will take place in a phased manner. This is also to help MBBS Students complete their clinical and practical postings.
As we know due to the lockdown, all the educational institutes have been taking online classes. It has been more than a year since this change. Even the Medical students are attending classes, online. With this, the faculty has been able to complete the theory syllabus but the same could not happen for the practical classes.

Students cannot have practical classes through online methods. It was fine for the theory part of the syllabus, but now the colleges will have to reopen again so that the MBBS students can take their practical classes and tests. Once the college reopens, the practical, theory examinations, and other clinical postings will be completed. To hold these exams, colleges and universities need to open.
The circular regarding the reopening of medical colleges was given to KNRUHS. All the affiliated colleges with it will reopen. Like it was said before, all the activities will take place in a phased manner. Students cannot come back together all at once. Any class, exam, or other academic stuff must happen in a phased manner.
It is necessary that all the students and college staff, including teachers and principal, must be vaccinated. Everyone must follow the basic Covid19 protocols and regulations. This is important to ensure that the reopening of educational institutes doesn’t backfire and become another reason for the spread of the virus.
