KCR Reaches Delhi For Paddy Procurement Talks With PM Modi

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao went to Delhi On Sunday along with Cabinet colleagues and senior bureaucrats to discuss paddy procurement in the state with the centre. He also planned to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Food and Public Distribution System Piyush Goyal on the issue of paddy procurement. KCR is expected to be in Delhi for three or four days.

KCR had already demanded the centre to come up with a clear policy on paddy procurement and its stand on procurement for Yasangi season. He is likely to discuss the BC population census, SC categorization, and ST reservations based on population and other issues with concerned officials.

According to the reports, KCR would meet farmers protesting on the outskirts of Delhi to discuss the details of around 750 farmers who died in the farm agitation. KCR announced an exgratia of Rs. 3 lakh to the kin of deceased families.
