Karimnagar Medical College Students Test Covid Positive

A total of 48 medicos at the Chalmeda Anand Rao Institute of Medical Sciences in Bommakal village of Karimnagar district tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday. A week ago, the students and staff of the college celebrated its annual day.

District medical and health officer Dr. Juveria speaking to a news agency said that 200 tests have been conducted and 46 students tested positive for coronavirus. Juveria said that a special medical camp is going to be set up on Monday to test all the students and staff. The students who have been tested positive for coronavirus have been shifted to isolation centres.

A top Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) official said that "The university has written multiple letters to all private medical colleges to follow Covid-19 safety norms. We have no idea what variant of the Coronavirus might be lurking and what it can do."

The university official said that they could take action on the medical college for not following COVID-19 protocol. It is all known knowledge that COVID-19 cases have been first reported in Karimnagar.
