The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad (JNTU-H) is preparing to conduct an exam for the fourth-year semester paper of Btech courses online. The University is acquiring software that will assist the authorities to hold online examinations.

The question paper will be given online to the student where he/she can appear for the exam at home using a laptop or desktop or smartphone with an in-built camera. The answers are to be written on white paper, and the photos of the copies should be sent online.

Students who have problems with the devices or internet connectivity can reach out to JNTU-H at least two days before the exam date. Only such students will be considered to write the exam in their nearest JUNTU-H-affiliated colleges.

To ensure there is no malpractice during the examination, the university will deploy faculty members for 10 to 15 students each who will monitor the exam online.  The university is planning to hold the examination between May 20 and 24.

The varsity officials clarified that the students will be intimated about the exam at least 10 days before. Students will get two hours and have choices among the questions in the exam same as earlier.

Due to the temporary closure of the educational institutions following the spike in Corona positive cases, one paper of the fourth-year first semester was not held. “As one examination could not be held, we are unable to give the results. So, we are planning to hold the exam online and give the results." said a JNTU-H official.
