Hyderabad Roads Empty After Residents Impose Self Lockdown Over Covid Fears
Due to a huge spike in COVID cases across Hyderabad, people are restricting themselves from venturing out. They are taking all the required precautions to stay safe. Hyderabad has turned into a hotspot with cases of COVID infection spreading fast. The Telangana government has refused to impose lockdown or a night curfew, but instead have extended vacations for educational institutions, though only a few of them are conducting online classes. Anyway, the education minister made it clear that the government is not going to pass or promote students without exams.
The traffic on the roads has eased, and there are fewer vehicles plying on the roads right now. The city police is taking strict action against those who are breaking the rules of COVID in the public. Earlier, Chikkadpally police booked 100 cases for violating face mask rule. For the last two days, the state has seen a fall in the number of cases. People who are infected in the Covid third wave are recovering. The recovery rate is around 90.4% in Telangana. Experts have warned the public to take the third wave seriously, although they believed they were recovering because it was the beginning stage. Omicron cases have also gone down.
