Curtain Comes Down on Hyderabad’s Numaish
Hyderabad: The 83rd edition of the All India Industrial Exhibition Society, also known as Numaish, concluded on Sunday. Numaish is a 45-day long extravaganza, however, the Exhibition Society had recently extended it until February 18, 2024 upon traders’ request..
According to reports, 2024 Numaish saw a footfall of approximately 20 lakh visitors. Chief minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated the exhibition on January 1.
This year the Exhibition Society had set up 2,400 stalls for the visitors. The society did not hike the ticket prices for the visitors. Last year, the society had increased the visitors’ ticket price by Rs.10 and the ticket was priced at Rs 40.

The first Numaish was inaugurated by the seventh Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan. The 10-day Numaish early called as ‘Numaish Masnuaat-e-Mulki’ was organised at Public Gardens (Bagh-e-Amma) with 50 stalls. It was shifted to Exhibition Grounds in 1946 and since then Numaish has been organised every year except for 1947 and 1948 due to the turmoil in the aftermath of India’s independence.
