BJP MP Laxman Rules Out Alliance with BRS for LS Polls
Hyderabad: Telangana BJP has clarified that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) will not join the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Centre.
Addressing the media persons here on Wednesday, senior BJP leader Dr K Laxman said the BRS is mired in corruption and hence the party will not find a place in the NDA.
He ruled out the possibility of BRS joining the NDA and claimed both the ruling Congress and opposition BRS parties are playing mind games ahead of Lok Sabha elections in the state.
Recently, speculations were rife that Telangana's opposition party is seeking an alliance with the BJP and the former chief minister and BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) will visit the national capital to stitch a pre-poll alliance with the saffron party.
Later, BRS leader Balka Suman had strongly reacted to the speculation of BRS joining hands with the saffron party for the upcoming general elections. He said BRS is a secular party and KCR is a secular leader, so there are no chances of an electoral tie-up between the tw parties.
