Aadhaar Must for Telangana Govt’s Six Guarantee Benefits
Hyderabad: As Aadhaar is now mandatory for the eligibility of Telangana government's six guarantee schemes, many people in Hyderabad are rushing to enroll or update their details. Long lines were seen outside Aadhaar enrollment centers as people sought to link their Aadhaar numbers. The staff at the Aadhaar centres are getting requests for changes or updation in personal details like name change, address change, mobile number change, etc.
Aadhaar has become an indispensable ID card for people across the socio-economic spectrum in India. From those living in small huts to the wealthy residing in luxury apartments, everyone requires an Aadhaar card now. Aadhaar card’s unique 12-digit number serves as a universal identification system for everyone in the country.

Hyderabad's Aadhaar enrollment has surpassed its estimated population as the city expands into a cosmopolitan city. The number of Aadhaar enrollments is increasing with people migrating from other states to seek a livelihood and settling down in the city. The city’s population growth rate is estimated between 8 to 12 percent annually. By the end of 2023, the estimated number of Aadhaar enrollments will exceed Hyderabad's projected population of 15 million.
Roughly 34 percent of migrants have permanently settled in the city. As a result, Aadhaar enrollment numbers are increasing as per the population growth. Over the last year, total Aadhaar registration has increased significantly across the city.
