iOS WhatsApp Users Can Post Voice Notes as Status Message

 - Sakshi Post

WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature that will allow iOS users on iPhones to set their voice note as status.

Recently, WhatsApp introduced new features for status including potential to react, private audience selector, and so forth. Now the widely used social media platform is turning out the ability to post voice note as their status for iOS users, here’s how you can use this feature:

To put down voice note as your status, first update your app to the latest version from App store, go to the ‘Status’ tab, tap on the floating button with pencil icon and click on the microphone icon that appears on the bottom right of the screen, hold the microphone icon to record your content and release the icon when finished, which is similar to recording a voice note and the limit for voice status update is 30 seconds.

The Apple's  App Store proposed picture-in-picture mode for Whatsapp video calls and it is under development, which would take time to access this feature on iOS platform.

A while ago, WhatsApp introduced new features like companion mode, view once text, pinned messages, call tab on whatsapp desktop, share upto 100 media files, picture-in-picture mode for video calls etc., for Android users.
