Tyagi Steers RR to Victory Against PBKS in IPL 2021 Dubai

Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by two runs on Tuesday. Kartik Tyagi was given the ball for the last over when PBKS needed four runs, but the youthful pacer didn't let the opposition off the hook, giving up only one run in the final over of the match, leading his team to a historic triumph.

Punjab finished their innings with a score of 183 for four, chasing 186 to win.

Earlier, Punjab Kings bowled out Rajasthan Royals in 20 overs for 185. The Royals were led in scoring by openers Yashaswi Jaiswal (49) and Mahipal Lomror (43) respectively. Left-arm medium bowler Arshdeep Singh (5/32) and Mohammed Shami (3/21) both took eight wickets.

Chasing down the total, PBKS skipper KL Rahul and his opening partner Mayank Agarwal put up 120 runs for the first wicket, setting the tone for the 186-run chase. KL Rahul, who was dropped three times, blasted four fours and two sixes in 33 balls. During his knock, he also surpassed 3000 IPL runs.

After the opener was dismissed, Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram held the crease, but they choked in the last over. With this victory, RR moved up to fifth place in the points table with eight points, while PBKS remained in seventh place.
