Emma Raducanu First Ever Female Billion Dollar Athlete After US Open Win
Emma Raducanu is on her way to becoming the first female billion-dollar athlete, with a long and bright career after her US Open 2021 victory. Raducanu, who is already the highest-paid British athlete, is aiming for a lengthy career after defeating Leylah Fernandez's record. Her triumph alone won her £1.8 million in prize money, and her lawyers have rushed to register her with trademark authorities.
Based on the sources, Emma Raducanu's lawyers have filed a trademark application in the United Kingdom to protect the phrases "Emma Raducanu," "Emma," and "Raducanu" following her successful US Open campaign. The trademark may open the way for her own cosmetics, fragrances, apparel, footwear, as well as a personalised fashion brand. The 18-year-old is an advertiser's dream, with the potential to win more than £100 million in prize money if she continues her Grand Slam exploits.

Emma Raducanu may surpass Roger Federer's £215 million ten-year sponsorship contract with Uniqlo. Other collaborations, such as a proposed Tiffany agreement in China, may generate £20 million each year. She formed her first limited business, Harbour 6, last year, and her latest applications were lodged by UK lawyer Anthony Brierley within hours of her US Open victory.
Max Eisenbud, who formerly handled former world number one Maria Sharapova, is Raducanu's current manager.
Currently, Naomi Osaka is the highest-paid female athlete in the world, and she overtook Serena Williams in May 2020. Following her back-to-back Grand Slam victories in 2018 and 2019, Nike spent around $10 million (£7.2 million) to acquire Osaka from Adidas, and she now has 15 corporate sponsors. Raducanu is on track to surpass those figures if she continues her US Open 2021 exploits, with her Flushing Meadows payout being the largest ever for a youngster.
