Truth About Sumitra Mahajan's Death News And Tharoor's Condolence Tweet

 - Sakshi Post

INDORE: Rumors of Sumitra Mahajan's death went viral late Thursday (April 22nd) night, but her staff quickly dismissed them. Sumitra Mahajan is a former Lok Sabha Speaker.

Around 11 p.m., rumors started circulating, and several news outlets began reporting her death as "breaking news" without confirming it.

Shashi Tharoor, a Congress member, and MP, also expressed his condolences on Twitter via a Tweet.

As soon as BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and others pointed out that his assertion was fake, he retracted it.

With a fever, Mahajan was admitted to the Bombay Hospital in Indore.

“She is perfectly fine. Her routine tests were carried out today. She is relaxing,” Former OSD to Mahajan, Pankaj Kshirsagar, said.

“I am relieved if that is so (Mahajan is alive). I received this from what I thought was a reliable source… Happy to retract. Appalled that anyone would make up such news,” Tharoor later tweeted after retracting his earlier Tweet of Mahajan's death.
