SSLC Students Worried as Karnataka Health, Education Departments Lock Horns Over Exams
Students are worried as the education and health departments are not on the same page now. They have different opinions over the conducting of SSLC exams. As soon as the timetable for the exam was shared, the departments have not been on the same page.
Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar shared that he has no idea about the exams. The education department has not mentioned anything to them. The health department will need to consult the education department and the education minister over this.
On being asked whether the exams should be conducted or not, the health minister said that it is something the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will comment on. We cannot say anything. He also did not comment on the education and health department’s disagreement.
Right now, the health department is waiting for a list by the education department on the number of teaching and non-teaching staff that are to be vaccinated. The entire staff must receive a vaccine dose before the exams start. That is why they need an exact number of people who will need the vaccine.
