World Toilet Day: Vizag Collector Cleans School Toilets

On the occasion of World Toilet Day on Friday, Visakhapatnam District Collector Dr. Mallikarjuna visited ZP High School and felicitated 'Ayammas' who are working in the school.

He lauded the services of the ayammas who are working to keep the surroundings of the school neat and tidy. After that, he himself cleaned the toilets.

World Toilet Day:

World Toilet Day is observed on 19 November to create awareness of the global sanitation crisis. The UN General Assembly declared World Toilet Day as an official UN day in 2013 after Singapore had tabled the resolution. World Toilet Day was an initiative of Jack Sim from Singapore, who founded the World Toilet organisation NGO in the year 2001. The theme for 20201 World Toilet Day is ‘valuing toilets.’
