TDP to get hit by massive wave of desertions in coming weeks, says MP Kesineni Nani

 - Sakshi Post

Vijayawada: The political climate is heating up ahead of Andhra Pradesh State Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in the coming months. After crossing over to the ruling YSRCP from TDP, Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) on Saturday said that the opposition TDP will be severely hit by the wave of desertions in the coming weeks.

Earlier in the day, Kesineni participated in the development programmes worth Rs 70 lakhs at Pendyala in Kanchikacharla mandal. Speaking on the occasion, Kesineni said he quit the TDP and joined the YSRCP only after seeking suggestions from his supporters. He said the TDP unit in NTR district will see 60 percent of its rank and file switching loyalties to YSRCP after receiving a signal from the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

He said his position was equal to the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu while he was in the party and Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh came nowhere to him in his stature. He also said that he will not respond to the allegations being levelled against him by those who are tainted with call money scam. The senior parliamentarian further said that he will respond to the comments of Kesineni Shivanath (Chinni) only after the EVMs are open for counting of votes after the polling process is ended for the ensuing state and national polls.
