Raids at Fish Market and Meat Shops in Visakhapatnam

The Vigilance squad conducted surprise raids on fish markets and meat shops in various parts of Visakhapatnam. Inspections at Gopalapatnam, and RTC Complex markets are still underway.

The Police started inspections following complaints from consumers that weights are being tampered with. Vigilance DSP Narasimhamurthy and his team are inspecting the fish stocks and launched an investigation into the complaint. Cases were registered against 14 shops in the RTC complex and 10 shops in Gopalapatnam.
