Opposition Creating Panic Among Students And Parents: Botsa Satyanarayana
AMARAVATI: Asserting that Class-10 examinations are being conducted in a transparent manner, Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana said that action was taken against those who committed irregularities in the exams. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, the Minister slammed the opposition over politicising small incidents and creating panic among the students and parents.
He said that criminal cases have also been registered against the accused and action has been taken against 69 people in connection with the leakage of question papers, which includes 36 government teachers. He clarified that no question paper was leaked before the commencement of exam, and stated that the students and their parents need not worry.
The Minister assured that action will also be taken against those institutions like Narayana, Chaitanya, and Kerala English Medium School that were involved with question paper leaks. Terming Nara Lokesh’s statements as cheap, he stated that the opposition is only focussed on drawing controversies over the issue to gain political mileage. He questioned whether the opposition or Lokesh will take responsibility for six lakh students.
In regard to intermediate examinations which are scheduled to take place from May 6-24, he said that all the necessary arrangements have been made and would also set up CCTV cameras at the examination centres if necessary.
