Bank Clerk Charred To Death In Ghastly Road Mishap Near Nandyal

KURNOOL: In a ghastly road accident, an SBI bank clerk was killed and three others injured when the car they were travelling in caught fire after ramming into a container lorry near Nandyal of Kurnool district In Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday night, July 28.

According to reports, the accident occurred near the Shantiram hospital near Nandyal in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. Four members of the family of SBI bank clerk Siva Kumar were travelling in the car. They were returning to Nandyal from Kurnool following a medical checkup of his mother. Their car rammed into the container lorry from behind near Shantiram hospital. After the collision, the car caught fire prompting everyone except Siva Kumar to emerge out of the ill-fated vehicle. Siva Kumar who was trapped inside was burnt to death. The other three survived with severe burns.

Nandyal Police reached the spot and rushed the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment before dousing the fire. The police registered a case and initiated an investigation. Further details are awaited.
