Blast from the Past: Some Hard Truths About Chandrababu

 - Sakshi Post

It is no secret that TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has earned the reputation of being a political chameleon. Previously, CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that Naidu changes colours quicker than the chameleon.

Naidu sketched an elaborate plan to take on the ruling YSRCP in the upcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh. He first formed an alliance with Jana Sena Party and later brought the BJP on board. While addressing a rally in Chittoor on April 03, 2019, the same TDP leader had called Prime Minister ‘Narendra Modi is a hardcore terrorist’. However, after rejoining the NDA bloc, Naidu changed his tune and started claiming TDP and BJP are ‘natural allies’.

However, the ties between the BJP and TDP seems to have strained over the Muslim reservation issue. The BJP’s rigid stand against the reservation for Muslims has put the TDP in a spot. The TDP cannot afford to lose the Muslim votes and will not sever its ties with the saffron party as well.

Meanwhile, take a look at Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks made against Naidu in the recent past.

In a BJP rally, Amit Shah called Naidu the biggest opportunist in the country. In 1983, he left Congress and joined the great (Telugu leader) NT Rama Rao (NTR). In 1989, he backstabbed NTR and became the chief minister (of undivided Andhra Pradesh). In 2014, he realised that BJP will form the government at the centre, he joined NDA bloc. In 2019, he realised that the people are not happy with his government, so he withdrew his support to the Modi government.
