AP Govt To Host Trade Carnival Vanijya Utsavam-2021 From September 21 At Vijayawada
AMARAVATI/VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Government will hold a 2-day trade carnival named Vanijya Utsavam-2021 in Vijayawada, which will commence from September 21 and 22 with an aim to double exports by 2030. The Chief Minister will be the chief guest for the Vanijya Utsavam. He will inaugurate the two-day trade carnival at SS Convention, Vijayawada.
The event will have industry, investment and trade expo, interaction with foreign embassies, helping MSMEs with trade processes, experience centre for prospective investors and exporters, offer awards and recognition to industry leaders and exporters and facilitate on-the-spot IEC registrations.
Industrialists along with MSMEs that are contributing to the export basket of AP are invited to display the type of commodities being exported from the State.
At a curtain-raiser to the carnival, Industries Minister Mekapati Gouwtham Reddy said on Thursday that Andhra Pradesh currently stands at fourth rank with merchandise export value of $16 billion in 2020-21. The State is active in realising export targets of the Centre and aims to double the exports by 2030.
He said that the State Government along with Plastics Export Promotion Council (PLEXCONCIL) is organising Vanijya Utsavam. Exporters' conclaves will be held at the district headquarters from September 24 to 26.
The event will see participation from embassies, policy-makers, industry associations, leading and potential exporters, export promotion councils. The Minister said they are expecting a footfall of over 1,000 exporters from various sectors.
The Minister said the unique features of the event include an exporters' experience arena, live Interaction with Indian Missions abroad, foreign mission visit, IEC registration desk and exhibitions.
He said budding entrepreneurs and potential exporters can grab this opportunity to understand the export processes, opportunities abroad and also can get IEC created on-spot under DGFT guidance.

On the day of the event, exporters/entrepreneurs/MSMEs contributing to growth rates of AP GSDP will be recognized and awarded from the hands of the Chief Minister.
