4th National Water Awards: Andhra Pradesh Bags 3rd Place
New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh secured the 3rd place in the Best State category of the 4th National Awards 2022. Vice-President of India Jagdeep Dhankar presented the award in New Delhi on Saturday. The Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation (Jal Shakti) had announced the awards in May 2023.
Madhya Pradesh bagged the first place while Odisha secured the 3nd position among the state in the 4th National Awards 2022. The Ministry of Jal Shakti is giving these awards to encourage and recognise individuals and organisations doing exemplary work in the field of water resources management.
Adilabad district in Telangana won the 3rd place in the best District category while the best village panchayat was given to Jagannadhapuram village in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana.

Andhra Pradesh received four awards out of the 41 awards presented under various categories by the Ministry of Jal Shakti at Vigyan Bhavan today. In the best school category, KHBV school in Chagalamarri of Nandyal received the second award, CCL Products India Limited, Tirupati shared the third best industry award with Apollo Tyres Limited, Tamil Nadu while Accion Fraterna Ecology Centre, Anantapur received the special mention prize under the best NGO category.
