1. Telangana Congress To Lose Opposition Party Status After 12 MLAs Join TRS

Hyderabad: In a huge setback for the Congress in Telangana, 12 of its MLAs met Assembly Speaker P Srinivas Reddy and gave him a representation to merge the Congress Legislature Party with the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Thursday.

2. Uttam Kumar Reddy Resigns As Huzurnagar MLA

TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy resigned as Huzurnagar MLA on Wednesday. His resignation was accepted by Assembly secretary Narsimha Charyulu. Reddy relinquished his Legislative Assembly membership as he had recently contested and won the Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency.

3. Visit To Grandma House Turns Tragic As Four Drown While Playing Near Patancheru Quarry

In separate incidents, seven children have drowned in water bodies across the state on Wednesday. Among these, four deaths have occurred in the city. The four children who were cousins, aged between 10 and 17, drowned when they went to bathe and play in a government quarry at Rudraram near Patancheru on Wednesday evening.

4. Telangana can set up giga-scale Li-ion battery plant: Official

Telangana government Friday informed the NITI Aayog that it is capable of setting a giga-scale Li-ion battery manufacturing plant as envisioned by the Centre, state Chief Secretary S K Joshi said. NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant Friday held a video conference with chief secretaries of all states on the importance of transformative mobility and smart storage and the Centres proposal of setting up a giga-scale Li-ion battery manufacturing plant, Joshi said.
