Hyderabad: TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Telangana government was trying curb the voice of opposition parties. Speaking to media here today he questioned how the government could suspend MLAs who have been elected by general public. This was an indication that democracy was being murdered in Telangana, he said and welcomed the High Court division bench dismissing the case.

The Congress leader said justice prevailed with the High Court verdict and pointed out that Congress party had full confidence in the judiciary and constitutional institutions. He called upon the Speaker to respect the court verdict and induct Komatireddi Venkat Reddy and Sampath Kumar into the state assembly once again. "KCR should apologise to Telangana people on this issue," he said.

Talking about the verdict senior Congress leader Jaipal Reddy said High Court has dismissed the case. But KCR will not approach Supreme Court on this issue and neither will he implement the High Court orders, he said. "KCR is very much aware that what he did was unconstitutional and this is the reason he will not appeal," he added.
