Nervous TDP Govt Tries To Put Spokes In YS Jagan’s Capital Area Yatra
* YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wants to cover Krishnamma Varadhi, Karakatta, Undavalli Centre, Dolas Centre, Penumaka, Navuluru, Mandadam and Lingayapalem.
* The police want YSRCP chief to take the High Way, reach NRI hospital, Mangalagiri, Nidamarru, Kuravallu, Ainavolu and Lingayapalem and thus avoid most affected areas.
An unnerved Government of Andhra Pradesh has put curbs on the proposed tour of YSCRP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the AP Capital area. In view of the simmering anger against the TDP Government's attempts take away farmers lands in the name of land acquisition, the ruling TDP is worried that Jagan's tour could add to its woes. For the last two days, TDP Ministers P Pulla Rao and P Narayana have tried to assuage the feelings of the angry farmers by holding a meeting. However, the farmers countered them as to why did not do anything all these days and why they are suddenly hyperactive as YS Jagan has announced his itinerary.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's tour will cover Krishnamma Varadhi, Karakatta, Undavalli Centre, Dolas Centre, Penumaka, Navuluru, Mandadam and Lingayapalem. However, the police refused to give permission to YS Jagan to cover these areas citing traffic congestion as the reason. However, the YSRCP alleged that the villages in question are among the most affected villages and if YS Jagan visits these villages, the TDP Government would find itself in a spot. The police are suggesting that the YSRCP chief take the High Way, reach NRI hospital, Mangalagiri, Nidamarru, Kuravallu, Ainavolu and Lingayapalem. Thus, the TDP wants YS Jagan skip Mangalgiri.
The YSRCP said that CM travels by the very route that YSRCP chief wants to take. ""How can YSRCP chief be prevented on the route that the CM regularly takes," a party leader asked.
On January 19 (Thursday ),YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will tour capital area region in Nidamarru (Mangalagiri Assembly constituency) from 9.30 am and Lingayapalem (Tadikonda Assembly constituency) from 2 pm to interact and take up the issue of the affected farmers whose land was forcibly taken away by the Telugu Desam Government.
YS Jagan will give voice to the farmers who are opposed to forcible acquisition of their farm lands in the name of capital area construction. The farmers are up in arms against Chandrababu Government saying the government had already taken away 33000 acres in the name of land-pooling.
