Security Tightened In Ayodhya, Mumbai; Helicopters Kept On Standby

AYODHYA (Faizabad): As the verdict on Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid is going to be delivered on any day of next week, security has been tightened in the temple town and also other parts of the country. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the officials to be on toes and kept two choppers ready for emergency purpose. Round-the-clock control rooms were arranged in all the districts of Uttar Pradesh, as well as, all Airports in the country has been put on high alert in view of the verdict.

All the states were asked to keep a tab on the movements of the suspicious elements by the Union Home Ministry and additional Para Military Forces, BSF and Rapid Action teams were already sent to Faizabad district, particularly to Ayodhya. The Maharastra government was asked to beef up the security in and around Mumbai and other parts of the state.

On the other hand, the Viswa Hindu Parishad, which is pressing for construction of temple from almost three decades and taken up carving activity to built huge Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has stopped carving works for the first time after 1990, in view of Supreme Court Judgment.

All the social media platforms in UP were under surveillance and police started filing cases against those people who are posting most objectionable content, which disrupts communal harmony. “We are ready to slap cases under National Security Act on culprits”-said Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police OP Singh.

Moreover, the UP higher officials have cancelled the leaves of State Police, Railway Protection Force and all administrative officers of different departments in view of judgment on or before 17 of this month. The government also set up temporary jails around 20 in the state as part of security arrangements.
