Terror Activities Spotted Near Kartarpur Corridor: Report

CHANDIGARH: Less than a week from the opening of the Kartarpur corridor, intelligence agencies have reportedly spotted terrorist activities in the border district of Narowal in Pakistan's Punjab province. It may be noted that the Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara is located in the district.

The Kartartpur corridor connects Dera Baba Nanak Sahib in Gurdaspur district of Indian Punjab with the Kartarpur sahib Gurudwara located in Narowal district of Pakistan.

In Muridke, Shakargarh and Narowal in Pakistan's Punjab, "substantial number of women and men are reportedly camping and undergoing training", intelligence agencies sources were quoted saying to a leading daily.

The details came out during a meeting of all top security agencies of India related to border management.
