29 Arrested For Attacking Police Team In Varanasi  

VARANASI: Varanasi Police held 29 people who have had a connection with the attack on a police team that raided the Hansos village in Varanasi on Monday night. The Raid was held to arrest two criminals.

According to the reports,  Jaunpur crime branch police had gone to Hansos village to arrest two criminals Rahul and Rajan on a murder case. Villagers beat up the sub-inspector and a constable who went to catch the 2 criminals. Local police who received information about this rushed to the spot and the villagers pelted stones on the local police. In this Incident, Rohaniya police station Inspector  Parshuram Tripathi and two constables were injured.

Police have taken 29 people who have a connection with the attack into the custody and nearly 27 have been detained for questioning over their role in the attack.
