Why PM Modi Chose Feb 26 For Balakot Airstrikes: Hindu Calendar Significance For Retaliation - Sakshi Post

The family of one of the slain CRPF soldiers in the Pulwama terror attack of February 14 reacted to Tuesday’s airstrikes on JeM terror camps in Balakot, Chakoti and Muzaffarabad of Pakistan, said that India avenged Pulwama deaths on a very significant day as per Hindu calendar.

The family of Ramesh Yadav, a CRPF martyr said that they were elated that the government extracted revenge on the 13th day after the terror attack which had killed more than 42 CRPF soldiers.

They also said that they had completed the Tervi sanskar (or the 13th day ceremonies) of the fallen soldier when they learned of the news of retaliatory strikes and were therefore thought that poetic justice had been rendered.

In Hindu tradition, the 13th day ceremony marks what is known as Vaikunta Samarohana or passage of the soul to Heaven after rituals to this effect. The 13th day significantly brings the mourning period to a closure.

It is learned that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had reportedly in a closed-door meeting, vowed to avenge the Pulwama deaths before the Tervi ceremonies concluded and he remained true to his word.

Netizens also say that PM Modi’s recent holy dip in the Ganges at Kumbh Mela marked a silent resolve to avenge the deaths of the Pulwama martyrs.

In the early hours of Tuesday (February 26, 2019), India launched a massive retaliatory airstrike against Pakistan in revenge for Pulwana terror attacks on Feb 14.
