Rajasthan: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje found an opportunity to take a dig at Congress Party leader Rahul Gandhi during her election campaign. Gothra or Gothram is a name taken by the people who are descended in an unbroken male line from a common male ancestor. But here Indira Gandhi was the only child of Jawahar Lal Nehru and Kamala Nehru and she married Feroze Gandhi a Parsi and had two children Rajiv and Sanjay Gandhi.
She ridiculed Rahul Gandhi saying that he had used Nehru's Gothra , instead he should have taken his grandfather Feroze Gandhi's or his father Rajiv Gandhi's name.
Interestingly the priests in the Brahma temple in Pushkar revealed that during the prayer rituals Rahul Gandhi said that he was a Kashmiri Brahmin and his Gothra was ''Dattatreya ''.
