Acid Attack On Congress Workers In Karnataka’s Tumkur, 20 Injured

Bengaluru: An acid attack on workers of the Congress party injured around 20 people in Karnataka's Tumkur city here today, following the news of Congress candidate from ward no 16, Inayatullah Khan's victory in the urban body elections. According to reports, the police are yet to find the offenders responsible for the act, that happened while the Congress workers were celebrating Inayatullah Khan's win from the ward.

The injured have been immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, following the incident.

Karnataka Municipal Election Results 2018:

In Tumkur Municipal Corporation, the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) candidates won in 12 out of the 35 wards, while the Congress and JD(S) won 10 wards each.

Police are probing the incident and further details are awaited.
