‘Nandyal Firing Incident Staged To Cause Panic Among People’

Nandyal: Following the attack on YSRCP leader Silpa Chakrapani Reddy, the TDP is facing severe criticism from all the quarters. TDP goons led by Abhiruchi Madhu made on attempt to attack Chakrapani Reddy physically when the latter was returning from the funeral of YSRCP leader Chimping Basha on Thursday.

Speaking to media persons in Kurnool, YSRCP Kurnool district president Gowru Venkata Reddy said that the TDP leaders are creating violence with a view to cause panic among the people. For the past one month, Nandyal town has been witnessing the rowdiraj of the TDP leadership, he said. The TDP is resorting to such attacks only to avoid a certain defeat in Nandyal bypoll.

Meanwhile, YSRCP leader and Nandikotkur MLA Izaiah termed the attack on Chakrapani Reddy as a cowardly act. "AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who usually gives sermons on rowdyism and violence, has been encouraging his men to attack YSRCP workers and leaders," he said.
