Muslim groups threaten protests in Telangana
Hyderabad: Not satisfied by the formation of a special investigation team in Viqaruddin's encounter case, Asaduddin Owaisi-led Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) and other Muslim groups threatened KCR government of launching Telangana-wide protests.
Viqaruddin and his gang of four are accused of terror activities. Viqaruddin is the mastermind of various terror activites across the state. He was serving his prison life in Warangal Central Jail and was killed in a shootout near Nalgonda-Warnagal border while trying to escape. United Muslim Forum, an umbrella grouping of Muslim organisations. termed this a fake encounter They even met CM KCR and requested for a thorough probe in the encounter. Responding to the MIM request, the T government has announced the formation of SIT on Monday.
But not satifies by the move of government, MIM and all other groups demanded an inquiry by independent body Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and rejected the probe by SIT. They also passed a resolution in meeting demanding suspension of all police involved in killing of five terrorists. They threatened the TRS government that if their demands are not met, they will launch state-wide protests.
