Mudragada To Launch Padayatra For Kapu Reservations From July 26
Kapu patriarch and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham has announced that he would launch his padayatra seeking BC reservations for Kapus from July 26. The yatra would begin from his home turf of Kirlampudi in East Godavari district.
On Monday, Mudragada released the route map of his padayatra. The yatra would cover both East and West Godavari and Krishna districts. He also released an open letter to Chandrababu Naidu on the issue of Kapu reservations. He said there was no question of going back on the padayatra. He also ridiculed Chandrababu Naidu's decision to consult with the BCs as to whether to give reservations to Kapus. he said: "Why did he include Kapu reservations in his election manifesto? Why did he make the promise during the time of the elections. We do not want to take a share from the BCs. We want special reservations for Kapus."
