Mudragada fast: latest updates

* In a major comedown, the Government sends Minister Acham Naidu and APTDP chief K Kala Venkata Rao met fasting Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham on Monday morning.This was preceded by three rounds of parleys with Mudragada by TDP legislators Trimurthulu and Boddu Bhaskar Rama Rao.

* The TDP Government is adoping repressive measures to prevent people from going to Kirlampudi. Popular film director Dasari Narayana Rao was obstructed at severla places. He managed to reach Rajahmundry and the police cordoned off the hotel, where he checked in.

* The police took into custody Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee chief N Raghuveera Reddy and actor-politician Chiranjeevi. Protesting against this, the Congress activists staged a dharna at Madhurapudi airport in Rajahmundry.

* YSRCP leaders Botsa Satyanarayana, Ummareddy Venkateswarlu and Ambati Rambabu are heading for Kirlampudi, where Mudragada is on a fast. He called upon the TDP Government not to provoke the people.

* Mudragada's fast entered Day 4. A team of doctors visited his residence on Monday morning to take stock of his medical condition.
